The Dominick Sharp Baseball Scholarship Award is available to Mount Jumbo Westside baseball players each season.

     The purpose of the fund is to honor Dominick by awarding a baseball scholarship to a Mount Jumbo Westside Little League player who exhibits heart and determination for the game, just as Dominick did. The applicant must be a Mount Jumbo Westside Little League baseball player.

     As part of his 8th grade project, Kellen Round, a former Westside Little League player, set up a baseball scholarship award in memory of Dominick Sharp, who passed away in a house fire on March 15, 2012. Kellen turned over the scholarship to Westside Little League in 2018 and we are very pleased to continue with this worthwhile scholarship.

     If you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, please make out checks to Mount Jumbo Westside Little League and state that you would specifically like the funds to go toward the Dominick Sharp scholarship fund.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
     Any Mount Jumbo Westside Little League player may apply for the scholarship by downloading the form and writing a paragraph about their favorite baseball memory and what baseball means to them. If the player has never played before, what they look forward to most in the upcoming season.

Application Deadline: Applications will be due 2 weeks prior to Opening Ceremonies when the award is announced. Drop off your application at the clubhouse, concessions, or mail us. Scholarship will be awarded during the Opening Ceremony.

Other Scholarships

If you are in need of a scholarship to cover registration costs, please explore the T-Mobile Call Up grant first. If after that, financial need remains email the league with "scholarship" in the subject line. Include the player and parent name, birth date, school name and any other related information.

Scholarships have to be processed manually and are usually processed towards the end of the registration period. We ask that all scholarship recipients volunteer for something during the season. We understand this is not always possible and will evaluate each scholarship on a case by case basis.
