Majors Division

Majors Division: League Ages 10 - 12
Use the Little League Age Calculator to determine League Age. Select Little League Baseball as the Sport and enter Birth Year and Birth Month of the Player.

Major Players must participate in a Try Out (mid/late March) and be drafted to a team.

League Age 10-year-olds may try out for the Majors Division by selecting the appropriate checkbox during registration (they will formally register for the Minors Division). If drafted to a Majors team, the player will be Transferred to Majors. If not drafted to a Majors team, the player will be placed on a Minors team.

Schedule:

Season starts mid April and ends in early June
Practice: There will be practice opportunity(s) before games start, but once the season starts there is typically not practice. The Practice schedule is up to the Coach.
Games: Games are 2 times per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (this can sometimes change). Games start at 6:00 PM and no new inning is started after 7:45 PM (current inning will finish).
Missoula City Tournament: End of season tournament based on regular season seeding.
All Stars: Players are eligible to try out for the 10u, 11u and 12u All Star teams at the end of the season.

What to Expect:

Competitive level with scores and standings kept for seeding in Missoula City Tournament.
Standard baseball rules strictly enforced.
High proficiency in hitting, throwing, and catching required.
Specialized defensive positions; all players may not rotate.
100% kid-pitch.
Skills: Consistent throwing/catching, hitting tougher pitches, frequent outfield hits, and advanced game awareness.
Uniformed umpires officiate all games
Emphasis on sportsmanship, respect, and positive encouragement.
Field size: 46/60 - 200.
Required: Mitt, cleats, baseball pants, athletic cup.
Helmets, bats, and catcher’s gear available; personal bats must meet USA Baseball (USABat) standards.
